On gossamer wings,
On gossamer wings,
My heart it flies to you.
To be together,
‘till the end of days
Is all that’s left to do.

Flying high,
‘cross the ocean blue,
To where it now belongs.
Cradled within,
A soul so true,
Amidst angelic song.

And soon now,
Oh, so very soon,
The body will be along.
To join the heart,
To fill the void,
Back where I belong.

Book Review: A Poetic Proposal by Julian Froment

Wow. I just found a wonderful review of my poetry collection by Ellespeth. It appears we were in the depths of Texas on a road trip when this was posted and I completely missed it. Thank you so very much, Ellespeth.

Views From A Poet

There’s a wonderful little book of poetry, A Poetic Proposal (by Julian Froment), that was recently published and would be just perfect for romantic Valentine’s Day reading and giving. Dreaming and hoping:

On Gossamer Wings
On gossamer wings,
my heart it flies to you…
And soon now,
Oh, so very soon,
the body shall be along…

In the midst of these poems, exchanged with his love, the poet sneaks this one in:

Poor Poetry
I hope you never get tired,
Of my poor attempts at poetry..

Who could tire of receiving poetry from a lover? Certainly not me!

Julian Froment’s collection is like a genle, though sometimes impatient, dialogue. The words seem written to comfort even those beyond…

And so, after the excitement of last weeks blog tour I find myself in somewhat of a blogging quandary. What do I write about now?

Day 6 of the Poetic Proposal Blog Tour.

Today is the penultimate day of the ‘A Poetic Proposal’ blog tour, and it is my pleasure to give thanks to Marie Ann Bailey for hosting today’s stop.

Marie’s blog is called ‘1WriteWay’ and is a treasure chest of all things book and writing related. She is a self-confessed writer, knitter, and stray cat magnet. Her ‘About 1WriteWay’ page is an example to all of us that either leave the default page, or do the bare minimum. Check it out.

Amongst her other posts and reviews Marie has recently been including chapters from her novel in progress ‘Clemency’. This was a really interesting series of posts made as she worked on the novel for NaNoWriMo, posting the entire novel, although in her own words, with a lot of stuff left out. See the Prologue here.

You should visit Marie’s blog here and say hi.

Thank you so much, Marie, for featuring the ‘Poetic Proposal’ blog tour today, and for your support.

Day 5 of the Poetic Proposal Blog Tour.

So just after the half-way mark and we’re into the home stretch. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Dominic DiFrancesco for hosting the ‘A Poetic Proposal’ blog tour today.

Dominic is the man responsible for the blog ‘Black and Write – The Poetic Musings of Dom DiFrancesco’. It is here that he shares with the world his own particular brand of highly emotional and evocative poetry, exploring a multitude of different poetic forms along the way. Dom posts a lot of exceptional poetry, on many, varied topics, his passion for poetry clearly evident.

I suggest that you go visit his blog directly, to see for yourself the outstanding poetry that he posts.

Thank you for your support, Dom, and for featuring the ‘Poetic Proposal’ blog tour today. Your continual encouragement has been instrumental in the development of my own poetry.
