So what do you like to do when you get a little free time? I know that many people have busy lives and don’t get a lot of free time, but just imagine that you get an unexpected break.
What would you do with that time?
Answers on a postcard, please. Oh, sorry, that was back in the 80’s, how about you just leave a comment. Drag me back into this technological age in which we now live.
Would you spend the afternoon with a friend? Alone? Take a walk? Go out for coffee? Let me know.
How about enjoying a coloring book dedicated to those activities that many of us would do if we got that free time. That Afternoon Away.
Description
Are you longing for a peaceful day out with a friend? Imagine it…little city cafes and shopping, a leisurely walk through the park or by the river…sounds so nice. Now you can do all this without ever leaving your favorite pair of jammies and slippers. Color your way through these relaxing scenes by yourself, or invite a friend to join you as you enjoy an afternoon away. Don’t forget to let me know what you like to do on that afternoon away.
Personally I like to spend time with the woman of all my dreams. The love of my life. Whatever else we are doing.
Check out Cuss ‘n’ Color, the new, truly adult coloring book from J and I publishing, with illustrations by Ionia Martin.
J and I publishing (click to visit our spanking new blog–no, not new spanking blog…dirty minds) has been busy. I apologise that I haven’t been around much answering comments and dropping in to see how things are going, but I’ve been creating another Ionia masterpiece. (Really I’ve been messing around with art supplies like a little kid in kindergarten.)
For those of you who have one of those days recently, or know someone who has, here’s a little something fun to do. Sorry, Chris. I’ve tried to curb the swearing, but it is an addiction.
J and I Publishing Author Page (We have tons more color books and this is the only truly adult one…kittens, puppies and all things innocent in the others.)
Ever just have one of those days where you want to randomly shout swear words but resist because you are at work or…

A new site to allow those interested to keep up with J and I Publishing Color Books, and the latest releases.
The start of February marks the release of the next four instalments of the ‘Creative Calm’ series of Adult Color Books. Whilst volume 7 is the usual eclectic mix of random coloring images, the latter three volumes are themed to some degree.
Volume 8 is ‘The Color of Love’ and is a perfect choice to buy that special person for Valentine’s Day, or indeed, any other day of the year.
Volume 9 is part of the Seasons’ theme and reflects upon the beauty of Winter, with volume 10 following a general Christmas theme.

Stress is a natural part of daily life in the modern world. From the trials and tribulations of the world at large, the idiot that cuts into line at the store, to the moron that cuts you up at the intersection. There is no avoiding it. It pervades everything we do.
So what do we do about it? How do we deal with this feeling that can gnaw at us until it drives us crazy?
There are a multitude of accepted techniques for dealing with stress such as a beer after work, chain smoking, relaxing with your other half, exercise, meditation, yoga. The list is endless. But what works for one, may not work for another.
How do you deal with the rigours of life, the stresses that get to you?
One newly accepted method is that of adult coloring. Not the coloring we all did as kids, or continue to do with our own kids, but a different kind of coloring. Adult coloring. Pictures and patterns that are more challenging for the adult. Those that stretch us, and in my case, often the ability to see without a magnification aid.
What do they do? How do they help?
Adult coloring books stretch and challenge our minds and abilities. They allow us to perform a physical task, whilst our subconscious minds to wander, whilst our conscious minds work on color selection, patterns, symmetry, and yes, staying inside the lines too. Always important whatever your age.
So, how about you tell me how you deal with the stress in your life, and maybe give adult coloring a try.
Here is a good place to start. I will even make things easy for you and provide links for whether you are in the US or the UK. You cannot ask for more than that.
Give it a go.
Have fun, destress, and enjoy..
No! Not Adult in ‘that’ way. But a whole lot of fun all the same.
