Finally Complete

Clouds of grey,
No sky of blue,
When each day,
I’m without you

But comes that time,
Not oft’ enough,
When the sun doth shine
And I set off

Across the ocean
Back to you
The plane in motion
‘Come on crew!’

Get me to
The one I love,
Fly me in,
From up above

Back to her
I do race,
That metal bird,
Doth cross the space

A finally back,
There in her arms,
Oblivious to all,
But her sweet charms

That pretty face,
Those luscious lips,
I’m whole again,
And now complete

Once Upon a Time

There once was a time,
Nothing made sense,
No reason or rhyme,
A life of pretence.

I was always alone,
In miserable solitude,
Love unknown,
A different longitude.

And then the joy,
Of two as one,
As girl met boy,
’twas a miracle done.

And then I knew,
With all my heart,
All I wanted was you,
And life did start.

Now I know,
You’re my everything,
You fill my heart,
You make it sing.

Joy and happiness,
You bring to me,
All I want,
Is for us to be free.

Together forever,
Never apart,
Eternally united,
One single heart.

Wilbur Took Flight

In honour of Wilbur’s first flight and the woman that I love I have penned, well typed off the cuff, a short poetic celebration of both.

bbird

Wilbur took flight
And headed for sea
An incredible sight
A favour for me

No one would expect
A blackbird to fly
O’er the ocean intact
No one but I

Onwards he flew,
Disregarding red lights,
Over to you,
Ignoring the sights

Able to do,
This task with such ease,
To fly to you,
Whenever he please

To deliver my message,
He came from above,
And with my gage
He carried my love

He chirped in your ear,
My missive and plan
Soon you shall be,
Back with your man

Though not a dove,
He did surely endeavour,
To be a sign of my love,
Always and forever

Across from an Ocean

Peppermill

Across from an ocean,
There we met,
The flesh first seen,
No need to fret.

An awkward kiss,
Rushed, in our way,
But perfect bliss,
What can I say.

A divide so wide,
Of Eastern promise,
As each we eyed,
On our first tryst.

Then after that time,
Of heavenly splendour,
The ultimate crime,
We’d always remember

I had to leave,
The law of the land,
I could not breathe,
As I held your hand

To fly away,
Across the sea,
Until that day,
When with you I’ll be.

It will come,
There is no doubt,
As riseth the sun,
You I ca’never be without.

I’ll Change My Flag

Chain

Alone again,
On this desolate isle.
Trapped in a chain,
No desire to smile.

Dreaming of then,
When together we were.
Dreaming of then,
When together we’ll be.

Thoughts of us,
Lift my heart.
Thoughts of us,
Never apart.

Days will pass,
Night times too.
No need to ask,
I’ll come back to you.

Time it does drag,
Until that day.
I’ll change my flag,
When we find a way.

I love you, Ionia.
